Profile - Orthodontics

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with prevention, interception and correction of malocclusion (crooked teeth) and abnormalities of the dento-facial region.

Department of orthodontics trains and educates the students to be competent in treating and managing patients who require preventive, interceptive and corrective care  of malposed teeth and jaws.  The teaching program includes extensive clinical and laboratory training of students in the areas of removable and fixed orthodontic appliances.

The Department caters to the needs of patients requiring correction of malposed teeth by fixed /removable appliances. Special care is taken to plan the treatment by interacting with other specialties on a regular basis. No charges are levied in treatment for camp patients; however nominal charges are fixed for regular patients.
